SureSeal TRUSTMARK

The Department of Trade and Industry — E-Commerce Office would like to introduce and promote the SureSeal Trustmark to clients with online businesses and those contemplating to set up web presence.
SureSeal, the first trademark seal in the Philippines, was launched by Qartas Corporation last March 25, 2009. It is an international trust seal accreditation which aims to promote trust and confidence in transactions over the internet and encourage good E-commerce practice in business.
Online businesses will benefit from this accreditation since trustmark seals will:
- Let consumers know their business is reliable
- Distinguish their company from online competitors, both legitimate and otherwise
- Be listed in SureSeal Online searchable database, a resource for anyone seeking trustworthy businesses
- Demonstrate that the company care about honest advertising, fair treatment of customers, and self-regulation as an alternative to government regulation of businesses
- Help increase consumer confidence in the Web as a safe place to shop
